First Visit Preparation for Infants

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and The American Academy of Pediatrics recommend establishing a dental home for your child by age one.

Kids First Dentistry wants to be your partner in taking care of your baby’s smile and we would love to see your baby when those first teeth show up. We recommend scheduling a first visit at age 1 or when your baby has eight baby teeth.

Your baby’s first visit will be a comprehensive infant visit. We will discuss nutrition, what to expect when the baby is teething, and eruption patterns. We will show you how to start taking care of those precious new teeth starting with special tooth wipes and working our way up to infant safety toothbrushes.
